        Hankittavat laitteet ja palvelut ovat osa Istekki Oy:n tietoliikenteen kokonaispalvelua loppuasiakkailleen. Istekin tietoliikenteen kokonaispalvelut koostuvat hankinnan kohteena olevista laitteista ja palveluista sekä Istekin omana työnä toteuttamasta tietoliikenneverkon suunnittelu-, hallinta- ja ylläpitopalveluista. Istekin tuottamassa kokonaispalvelussa Istekki vastaa asiakkaalle koko palveluketjusta ja kaikista toimijoista. Tässä kilpailutuksessa valittava laitteiden ja palveluiden toimittaja toimii omalta osaltaan yhtenä Istekin kokonaispalvelun alihankkijana.

        Hankinnan kohteena olevia tietoliikennelaitteita käytetään Istekki Oy:n ylläpitämien tietoliikenneverkkojen ylläpitämiseen ja laajentamiseen.

        Laitteet:

        Hankinnan kohteena olevia tietoliikennelaitteita käytetään Istekki Oy:n ylläpitämien tietoliikenneverkkojen ylläpitämiseen ja laajentamiseen.

        Palvelut:

        Hankinnan kohteena on laitteiden lisäksi asiantuntijapalvelut (jäljempänä palvelut), jotka ovat tietoliikenneverkon arkkitehtuurisuunnitteluun liittyviä asiantuntija- ja konsultointipalveluita.

        Hankintayksikkö valitsee kilpailutuksen perusteella kaksi (2) parasta tarjoajaa ja tekee näiden kanssa puitesopimuksen tietoliikennelaitteiden ja niihin liittyvien asiantuntijapalveluiden toimittamisesta.
