         Tehtävä sisältää tiesuunnitelman laatimisen valtatielle 4 Vaajakosken kohdalle Jyväskylään. Valtatien 4 suunnitteluosuuden pituus on noin viisi (5) kilometriä. Valtatietä 4 rakennetaan uuteen, Varassaaren kautta kulkevaan maastokäytävään noin kolmen (3) kilometrin matkalla. Uusi tie suunnitellaan 2+2 kaistaisena moottoritienä. Haapalahden nykyistä suuntaisliittymää parannetaan rakentamalla uudet rampit Vaajakosken suuntaan. Kanavuoreen rakennetaan kokonaan uusi eritasoliittymä, mikä yhdistää valtatiet 4 ja 9 sekä rinnakkaistien. Valtatiellä 4 mitoitusnopeus on 100 km/h. Valtatien 9 suunnitteluosuuden pituus on noin kaksi (2) kilometriä. Valtatietä 9 rakennetaan uuteen maastokäytävään noin 500 metrin matkalla. Mustaniemeen rakennetaan uusi eritasoliittymä ennen Leppäveden vesistöpengertä. Valtatie 9 suunnitellaan 2+2 kaistaisena moottoriväylänä ja mitoitusnopeus on 100 km/h.
