         Helsingin kaupunki suunnittelee ja toteuttaa eri toimipisteissä sijaitseville teknisen alan virastoille yhteiset toimitilat. Tilat sijoittuvat uudisrakennukseen ja ne koostuvat yhteisestä asiakaspalvelu-, kokous-, auditorio- näyttely, kirjasto- ja ravintola-alueesta sekä laaditun työympäristökonseptin mukaisista työtiloista. Kaupungin tavoitteena on toteuttaa tila-, kustannus-, energia- ja elinkaaritehokas, kaupunkikuvallisesti korkealaatuinen rakennus, joka on joustavasti muunneltavissa ja jonka tilaratkaisuissa voidaan monipuolisesti huomioida kaupungin hankkeelle asettamat tavoitteet toiminnan palvelu- ja tuotantoprosessien kehittämisestä.

         Rakennuspaikka sijaitsee Helsingissä 10. kaupunginosassa Sörnäinen, kortteleissa nro 10575 ja 10576. Rakennus sijoittuu Kalasatamaan, Helsingin Tukkutorin viereiselle alueelle ja rajautuu sekä Työpajankatuun että Hermannin Rantatiehen.
