         HUSin tavoitteena on hankkia IBM-tuotteiden ja -palveluiden käyttöoikeudet ja niiden tarvitsemat ylläpidot HUSin palvelin-, pilvi- ja päätelaiteympäristöön sekä asiantuntijapalvelut tekemällä tarvittavat sopimukset IBM:n ja valitun jälleenmyyjän kanssa.

         Sopimuskauden aikana IBM:ltä voidaan hankkia kaikkia sopimuksen kautta hankittavissa olevia tuotteita ja palveluita jälleenmyyjän tarjoaman hinnoittelukertoimen mukaisesti hinnoiteltuna. Sopimukset kattavat myös sopimuskauden aikana julkaistavat ja muuttuvat tuotteet ja palvelut.

         HUSin tarvitsemat tuotteet ja niiden ylläpidot sisältyvät pääosin IBM PassportAdvantage -sopimuksen kattamiin Cloud- ja Onpremise-palveluihin. Tarvittaessa voidaan solmia muita IBM-sopimuksia.

         Sopimuksen perusteella hankitaan ensisijaisesti käyttöoikeudet HUSille ja sen tytär- ja osakkuusyhteisöille. Hankinta koskee myös HUSin tai sen sijaan tulevan organisaation tulevia tytär- ja osakkuusyhtiöitä sopimusluonnoksen mukaisesti.
